How to Get Started with DynForms

To begin using DynForms, you need to clone the DynForms workspace from the Tape Template gallery:

  1. Visit the Tape Template Gallery and locate the DynForms workspace or use this 🔗 direct link to the DynForms workspace
  2. Click on the "Duplicate" button to create your own copy of the workspace.
  3. Navigate to the workspace once duplication is complete.
  4. Click on "Start Free Trial" inside the workspace to initiate your DynForms setup.
  5. Sign up for a DynForms account on the DynForms signup page.

Step 2: Connect Your DynForms Account with your Tape DynForms Workspace​

Once you have a DynForms account, you need to configure it with your Tape workspace and app IDs.

Add Your Tape Workspace and App IDs​

1. Retrieve Necessary IDs from the Forms App​

  • Navigate to the Forms App in your DynForms workspace and open the developer menu (three dots in the upper-right corner).
  • Copy and save the following details:
    • Workspace ID
    • Forms App ID
    • Field ID of the DynForms JSON form field (json_form_storage)

2. Retrieve Necessary IDs from the Response App​

  • Navigate to the Response app in your DynForms workspace.
  • Open the developer menu.
  • Copy and save the following details:
    • Response App ID
    • Field ID of the Responses JSON form field (json_obj_response)

Alternative: Start from DynForms.net​

If you started by creating an account on DynForms.net instead of duplicating the DynForms workspace first, you can still create your own copy of the workspace during the initial setup. The setup process will guide you through linking your DynForms account with Tape and setting up your workspace properly.
